Gandy Dancer - Standard Queen:
This bright and cheerful room, located on the second floor, is decorated in a relaxing light green tone and offers a whimsical look at the past and present of railroading. The queen-sized bed features a hand-carved "La Fontana" headboard. The antique sink is separate from the private shower. Here you can step back and get a feel for the romance of the rails, as above the bed, railroad luggage racks hold books and train memorabilia while the walls are adored with trains, and railroad china.
Vineyard Room - Deluxe King:
Located on the ground floor next to the comfortable living room, the Vineyard Room is decorated in a burgundy decor inspired by the lush vineyards surrounding the area, and features a king-size bed with a hand-carved rose-and-leaf medallion headboard. The private bathroom has a shower over the tub and a pedestal sink. Various pieces by local artists adorn the walls and the grape vines can be seen climbing the draperies.
Alberta's Attic - Queen Suite:
This two-room suite is ideal for celebrating that special occasion with warmth, romance and complete privacy. The bedroom features a four-poster queen bed with old-fashioned steps. Light streams through the elegant stained-glass window in a rainbow of colors in the private bathroom, which has a shower above the tub. The suite sitting room is furnished with reclining chairs to enjoy a good book or just to put your feet up after you have been out exploring El Dorado County. Peruse the decorations that once may have belonged to Alberta Shafsky, the eldest daughter of Albert-steamer trunks, a Hoosier, dress form, sewing machine and an armoire.
Lighthouse - Queen Suite:
This two-room suite is ideal for celebrating that special occasion in elegance and complete privacy. The bedroom features a huge queen-sized poster bed, with old-fashioned bed steps next to the bed. Light streams through the pretty stained-glass window in a rainbow of colors in the private bathroom, which has a shower above the tub. The suite sitting room is furnished with an inviting fainting sofa, reclining chairs, and tea/game table. As in all of our guest rooms, the heating and air-conditioning are individually controlled. Comfortable featherbeds and goose-down comforters are provided during the winter season. For your convenience and refreshment, a tasty welcome snack and wine is offered upon check-in.
